One of the leaders of Democratic Front, Andrija Mandic, will not go to prison because of a reasonable suspicion that he has committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organisation, the Podgorica High Court decided.
The Special State Prosecutor’s Office proposed to the High Court to take measures against Mandic after he attempted to leave the country although he was banned from leaving Montenegro as one of the accused for attempted terrorist attack on election day 16 October 2016. His travel documents were previously seized.
The court rejected the request as unfounded.
On 1 March, Mandic illegally crossed the border of Montenegro and entered Serbia, where he was detained by Serbian police.
