As announced by the Service, due to the large increase in the number of fires, members of the Service are non-stop engaged in their localisation and liquidation. Mobilisations are frequently carried out and all invited officers always dully respond despite their exhaustion.
“Taking into account the fact that the tropical heat lasting in Podgorica for a long time is greatly increasing the risk of fires and facilitating their expansion, we appeal to the citizens of the Capital to be careful when handling a fire in the open air, in order to avoid accidentally causing wildfires which could easily get out of control and require a fast and efficient response of our crews,” the Service announced.
Representatives the Protection Service of the Capital City called on citizens who live in the suburbs and in the rural area of Podgorica to help firefighters in extinguishing fires.
“In this way, together with members of the Service they will more easily and efficiently localise fires and reduce severe damages,” the Service communicated.
