Cable cars can’t be put into function due to the lack of snow

Although there’s not enough snow for safe skiing in the ski centers in Kolašin, last weekend attracted many visitors.

There were almost 2.00o visitors in Kolašin 600, whereas Kolašin 1450 counted approximately 1.000 guests.

Director of Kolašin 1600, Mr Saša Jeknić, said that there was not enough snow to put the cable car into function.

“Children ski-lift, sledding area for children, ski-rental and ski-school services have been at skiers’ disposal from the beginning of the season. In the absence of snow, so far the cable car has been used for the panoramic sight-seeing. Coffee bar of Troglav is at visitors’ disposal, where fans of snow can enjoy national products and taste domestic craft beer and wine. Every weekend will offer numerous entertaining and sport activities for both adults and children. I invite all skiing lovers to come and enjoy the beauties of Bjelasica”, Mr Jeknić said.

Director of Kolapin 1450 ski center, Ms Dijana Bulatović, said that warm weather and favorable skiing conditions had attracted many scores of tourists.

“There are around 1.000 tourists today, coming from all parts of Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Albania and Russia. According to the weather forecast, there will be snow next week and we hope for the increase in number of tourists in February. Ski slopes available are: Jezerine and baby lift within it, slope number three and slope number five in the two-seater cable car. Price of ski pass amounts to €15 for adults and €11for children. Ski equipment rent costs €10 for adults and €8 for children”, Ms Bulatović said.
