A total of 1,752 employees (1,430 at the central and 322 at the local level) have responded to the public call for termination of employment by mutual agreement and are entitled to severance payment, the Ministry of Public Administration, MJU, told CdM.
Upon receiving the request for termination of employment by mutual agreement, heads of state bodies are obliged to make a decision by 30 September 2019.
MJU reminds all the interested employees that, regardless of the announced public call, they can submit the request until the Decision on severance payments for the termination of employment by mutual agreement is valid, i.e. until 31 December 2020. In addition, a state body/institution can announce a new public call (if the Decision is effective) if they assess that there are interested employees to apply to the public call.
Termination of employment by mutual agreement represents an initiative which has been implemented within the Public Administration Optimization Plan 2018-2020. The objective is to provide support to such administration which would satisfy the citizens’ needs in the best possible way, while relieving the burden on state and municipal budget.
