A Few More Words about Ill-Fated Budva

Deset do osam

Good morning! You can’t make head or tail of the Budva situation. Dokic played at DF and lost. At Budva Utilities, the director is not allowed in the office. System breakdown. As I told you, watch Budva and vote for Montenegro. This system breakdown is already happening to the rest of you. It sounds unbelievable, but many people already wish for the DPS to return.

A few more words about ill-fated Budva

Many people say these days “just let them fight among each other”. But that doesn’t solve anything. The city is about to collapse and the whole of Montenegro is mocking us. Although none of them are any better than us. Except maybe Cetinje and Bar and a few other places. Budva announced the liberation and changes that took place after 2020. Now you can see what is happening today. Our city has never been more represented at the state level. You can hardly miss a Budva resident in the corridors of the Parliament, Government and state agencies and companies. However, at the local level, local lists and the opposition have the majority.

The Prime Minister’s party and Dragan Krapovic’s party each have one and a half councilors. A disgrace.

What happened now? The mayor, who is in prison for international and serious cocaine smuggling, has now changed the deputy mayor and officially appointed Nikola Jovanovic as the mayor of the city. Nikola Jovanovic, I will remind you, was brought to Budva in 2018 as a member of Milan Knezevic’s staff, to build himself into a leader who has beaten the prime minister, ministers, directors, secretaries and the chief negotiator with the EU.

Djordje Zenovic troubled the Democrats. Dragan Krapovic wants to defend us from Russia and Serbia, but he can’t defend his party locally from Djordje Zenovic, a young old-town seagull. Joking aside, Djordje won the sympathy of a good part of the citizens with his work and principles.

The situation is the same with the SDP leader at the local level. The DPS is still standing firm. It is led by a university professor and former dean of the Faculty of Economics. They also have some young faces on the list. Now compare that with those in power at the local level and ask yourself why the city is still enslaved by the divisions of 2020.

The DPS has done nothing worse in all the years of government than what they are doing now. The only question is why the prosecution is sitting idly by. Is it waiting for new parliamentary elections to start working? Because it only comes forward and arrests people before some elections and when someone needs to be pushed or thwarted.

That’s how Budva continues to struggle. It is not known who is ordering music for the new year, but it is known into whose pockets the money will flow. The same ones that were poured into during the rule of the DPS.

By the way, despite all this, the same people who were in power during the DPS are still in power. Both then and now – behind the scenes. Budva elites are always with the government. Citizens are still silent and disgusted with politics. Until there is a total collapse and our houses start collapsing from the floods and we catch some kind of infection and spread it from the filth. There is no need to talk about planning and investments. It is unattainable and just a fantasy at this point.

Budva is a shadow of its former self and there is no sign that things will improve.

That’s it for today. We wish you a pleasant rest of the day.
