The Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism has started the preparation of a new draft law on spatial planning and construction, which means that there will be amendments to the decree on legalisation of illegally constructed facilities, they told Pobjeda daily.
The process of legalisation of illegally constructed facilities is being carried out in line with provisions of the valid law.
The ministry also ads that a significant number of facilities was not constructed in line with parameters or/and guidelines from planning documentation, whereas the plan for some areas hasn’t been adopted yet or is invalid so the process of legalisation had to be interrupted until an appropriate planning document is adopted.
“Having in mind the overall situation, a significant progress has been made in this regard, particularly having in mind the number of submitted and processed requests,” they claim.
According to official data, in December last year, a total of 52.303 legalisation requests were submitted, while 45.000 were processed and in the end 1.185 facilities legalised. This year, the process was practically halted, as a total of 697 request were submitted of which 2.000 were processed and finally 615 facilities legalised. It shows that proposals of the Association of Municipalities of Montenegro were justified, as its representatives were the ones who urged amendments to this law.
