According to the website of the US Ministry of Justice, the Cabinet of the outgoing PM Dritan Abazovic hired the newly founded company Bipartisan Solutions for representation in Washington. Abazovic and the former minister of foreign affairs, now Abazovic’s adviser – Djordje Radulovic, are listed as contact persons.
Attached to the application that the foreign agent is obliged to submit in accordance with the FARA (Foreign Agents Registration Act) law, is a contract signed by the representative of Bipartisan Solutions, Mitchell Barak, and PM Abazovic.
Mordecai Mitchell Barak is an Israeli lobbyist who cooperated with Serbian officials, and on the website of his firm KEEVON, it is stated that he was an advisor to the Serbian Minister for Innovation and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. That position was held until 2022 by the controversial minister without portfolio in the Government of Serbia, Nenad Popovic, known for his close ties with Russia.
The job description includes lobbying elected officials, decision-makers, citizens and the media as well as the US Government in favor of the state of Montenegro.
The value of the contract is $420,000 per year, or $35,000 per month. The contract was signed on 13 December 2022.
