After they were left without 130 police cars, it seems that the National Police will have no more fuel for remaining official vehicles, as, according to the information submitted to the government, the supplies are about to deplete in late May, writes Dnevne Novine daily.
Having in mind that the 2021 state budget still hasn’t been adopted and that funds for the procurement of fuel for the police haven’t been ensured yet, they urgently need €462.000 to settle their needs for only several months.
In order to deal with this issue, the government has decided to ensure money for fuel by using temporary financing – it will be ordered without public competition via the so-called ‘negotiation procedure’.
