An award in Moscow: Montenegro – a destination with the best beaches

The National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro and the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism in cooperation with local tourism organisations and the tourism industry have represented Montenegro’s tourism offer in the largest tourism exhibition in Russia and one of the most important international travel and tourism exhibitions, MITT 2016, which has been held in Moscow from 23 to 26 March.

Montenegro’s delegation has been led by the chairman of the Executive Board of the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, Predrag Jelusic and director of the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, Zeljka Radak-Kukavicic. Representatives of the delegation will have a series of meetings with representatives of tourism organizations, tour operators and representatives of the media.

The statistics shows that in 2015 Montenegro was visited by about 300,000 tourists from Russia, who made more than 2.7 million overnight stays, which was by 6% more than in the previous year. Russian tourists stayed in Montenegro for nine days on average.

This year, Montenegro has remained one of the favourite destinations for tourists from Russia, so the number of tourists from this country is expected to rise.

This can be confirmed by the fact that during the summer season (June–September), Montenegro Airlines will have flights on the line Tivat-Moscow-Tivat three times a day and on the line Tivat-Sankt-Peterburg-Tivat four times a week.

About 80 rotations per week from Russia to Montenegro have been agreed for the upcoming summer season.  Those are regular flights and charter flights of Russian airlines (Aeroflot, Siberia AIR, Globus AIR, Nord Star, Rossiya AIR, Ural AIR, Yamal AIR, Red Wings, Azur Air, Metro Jet, UT Air, Royal Flight AIR …).

Within the presentation of the Montenegro’s tourism offer, the following entities will present their offers at NTO’s stand: tourism organisations of Budva, Bar, Herceg Novi, Tivat, Ulcinj and Kotor, the tour operator R-Tours, the hotel groups Montenegro Stars HG, Queen of Montenegro, Budvanska Rivijera hotel group, as well as the companies Montenegro Airlines, Beppler and Jacobson Ltd, HIT Montenegro – Hotel Maestral, Dukley Gardens, Explorer tourism agency and many others.
