Power supply in Andrijevica, Plav and Gusinje has been normalised at 2.15 today, the Montenegrin Power Transmission System (CGES) announced. The situation is getting better there.
Consumers in those towns were without electricity since 10.45am, due to a fault at the Trebjesica electric transmission line
“Due to the explosion of a voltage measuring transformer within the 110kV Trebjesica transmission line, the power outage in the 110/35 kV Andrijevica substation occurred. From that moment, ie since 10:45am, consumers in Andrijevica, Plav and Gusinje have been without power supply,” the company stated.
CGES said it was ready to forward the voltage from the Berane direction. Currently the Montenegrin Power Distribution System (CEDIS) is expected to perform necessary checks and fix certain issues.
Experts believe that the fault was not too serious and that power supply in the towns would be normalised soon.
CEDIS told CdM that the power grid was overburdened due to high temperatures.
