The third budget revision by the end of this year is unlikely to happen, the Ministry of Finance told Pobjeda, a daily.
According to the Ministry, all macroeconomic indicators point out to the steady economic growth, which is going to affect a stable income collection by the end of 2018. The first budget revision was done in March 2018, the second one in July 2018, and the opposition then claimed that there would be more budget revisions by the end of year.
The Ministry of Finance, on the other hand, said: “Adoption of the fiscal strategy set the budget expenditures, and the Law itself determined that existing costs should be financed from source revenues, whereas funds within the capital budget for the motorway project have already been ensured. It’s not realistic to expect another budget revision by the end of the year.”
The government will continue with further implementation of fiscal policy measures and structural reforms in order to strengthen fiscal stability.
