Arab businessman to build five-star hotels in Montenegro

The president of the Dubai-based DAMAC company, Hussain Sajwani, is interested in building luxury hotels in Montenegro. Sajwani is the fourth richest Arab businessman according to Forbes’ annual ranking of billionaires.

As announced today, Sajwani met prime minister Dusko Markovic. The PM called to mind that after joining NATO, Montenegro had become a leading investment destination in the region, as well as a leader in the European integration process.

Since 2002, the DAMAC Group has held the position of leading builder in the luxury real estate sector in the Middle East, as well as in the most significant projects in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon and Oman.

“I am satisfied with my visit to Montenegro and meeting with the prime minister. I am seriously interested in building five-star hotel complexes in your country,” Sajwani said at the meeting.

Sajwani is the fourth richest Arab businessman according to Forbes’ annual ranking of billionaires. Its fortune is estimated at $4.3bn. With his DAMAC Property, he has developed a part of Dubai which had not been in the focus of investors until then. Thus, he sold luxury real estate mostly to foreigners.

He has become famous for his success when he managed to sell all the units in a 38-storey building in less than half a year even before the construction started.
