The contract states that Arabs will take over the plant in February and employ at least 80 workers by the end of March.
“Tender commission will after the meeting on Monday send the proposal of the contract to the Council for privatization, Government and the City parliament. If everything goes according to the plan, the investor will take over the management on 1st of February, and until then the workers will be registered with National employment agency”, said to Pobjeda the president of Tender commission Branko Vujovic.
He reminded that this is the sixth tender and the last chance for DKP.
Vujovic explained that this is a contract for one year management which should start on 1st of February.
The investment from the capital city remains 2.2 million euros.
“At least 55 workers will be employed which is a contractual obligation. We expect that during first year on the new location 20 more will be employed, and another 20 during second year”, said Vujovic and added that Arabs are supposed to invest 20 million euros and increase production.
