One out of 15 banks still hasn’t submitted the 2017 revised financial statement, stated the Central Bank of Montenegro, CBCG, but didn’t want to reveal the name of the bank.
But according to the unofficial information of Pobjeda daily, it’s about Atlas Bank, one of 2 vulnerable banks.
Meanwhile, the CBCG said they had several meetings with the engaged auditor in a bank that hasn’t submitted the revised financial statement and that, based on the additional information they have been expecting, they are going to decide whether he/she will be approved any future audit over banks in Montenegro.
“The CBCG will submit all the information on auditor’s performance in this specific case to the relevant body that is to act in line with the Audit Law,” announced the CBCG, adding that in case they find out a bank is guilty of non-submitting the revised financial statements, measures laid down by law will be taken against it.
