Azmont gave up on marina Portonovi

Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism stopped the procedure of issuing construction permit to company Azmont Investment for construction of marina-port of nautical tourism in Kumbor.

The decision was caused by Azmont giving up on their request for construction permit.

Azmont Investment submitted the request on January 27th but on February 20th they requested that the process be stopped.

“The Law on general administrative procedure stipulates that when a party submits the request that starts the procedure and then submits a request to stop the procedure, the authority is due to pass a decision to stop procedure”, the Ministry stated.

Marina is a part of resort Portonovi, that has announced investments of 650 million EUR.

Resort will have 290 accommodation units, from city houses to villas and penthouse apartments overlooking the marina. Construction of the first One&Only in Europe has also been planned, and it is supposed to have 120 rooms, apartments and villas.

Pobjeda daily could not reach Azmont yesterday to ask why had they given up on the request for construction permit for marina.
