Becic: Montenegro is tiny, but it’s righteous and fair

“Despite the numerous divisions in our country, we are very happy to say or even know how to sing a verse that reads ‘Montenegro is tiny, but it’s righteous and fair’, which best depicts “the greatness of our country, a kind of moral code and pride that does not depend on the number of square kilometers by which a territory is measured”, Parliament Speaker Aleksa Becic has stated at the 14th conference of parliament speakers of small European countries organized in Herceg Novi.

Becic has pointed out that he is aware that among the participants there are those who have found their well-being and full prosperity outside the EU and expressed the expectation that they will agree with him and thus share the almost 80% position of the citizens of our country – Montenegro’s membership in the EU has no alternative.

He has said that today’s forum, in which Montenegro sits at a table with territorially and numerically small countries, each of which in its own way represents a very successful European story, encourages our country to continue development and strengthen us with the goal of full EU membership.
