Montenegro remains strongly committed to the development of science and innovation. The fact that EC has recognized Montenegro and praised its efforts and concrete results of our state further encourages us, Mr Aleksa Bečić, President of the Parliament of Montenegro, pointed out in his greeting card addressed to the director of the UN Office for education, science and culture, Ms Audrey Azoulay, on the occasion of marking World Peace and Development day.
As President’s office reported, Mr Bečić pointed out that the importance of science was essential.
“In the year when the entire planet is faced wit pandemic, the key role of science, necessity of scientific cooperation and exchange of scientific discoveries are more important than ever”, Mr Bečić said.
He added that we greatly appreciated UNESCO’s crucial role in directing scientific dialogue and raising awareness on mutual connection of science, peace and development.
