Preparatory works on the priority section Smokovac-Matesevo of the highway Bar-Boljare are getting to an end and, as TV Prva has learnt from multiple sources, construction machinery is being prepared to come out on the site in 15 days, or until the end of September.
The final negotiations on the main project that came from China are ongoing. Montenegrin revisers had several objections which were currently being discussed.
The Chinese side would like to start major works before specifying these details. However, our authorities have refused it until the tiniest items are defined.
During the preparatory works, contracts with 10 Montenegrin companies have been signed, and negotiations with several Montenegrin companies that will be engaged in major works are ongoing.
About 200 workers have been engaged so far, including engineers, surveyors, translators, drivers and manual workers.
Under the contract with the Chinese, one third of all workers engaged must be from Montenegro. It is estimated that, when all the works are in full swing about 3,700 workers will be engaged, out of which 2,000 workers will be from Montenegro.
