Bemax company today perforated right side of the Vežešnik tunnel. This company told CdM this has been the second tunnel on the priority Bar-Boljare highway section.
The construction license for this tunnel was issued on 13 April 2017 when preparatory works began.
The total length of the tunnel is 2.5km per tube.
“Bearing in mind the length of the tunnel and the deadline for construction, we decided to perforate it on the south and north side in parallel. This means the perforation process was completed before the set deadline,” Bemax reported.
Vežešnik tunnel is one of the four tunnels that Bemax is working upon on this highway section. Beside this tunnel, Bemax is performing construction works on Suka tunnel (perforation completed on 14 May 2018), Mrke tunnel (perforation completed on 15 December 2017) as well as on Vjeternik tunnel, on the north side of it.
So far, Bemax company has completed perforation of 97% of contracted tunnels,” the company said.
“Having in mind the existing geological conditions, we believe that perforation of Vjeternik tunnel will be completed in 15 days, whereas all other tunnels will be perforated by the end of July,” Bemax reported.
