Following the statement of the President of the Port of Bar’s Audit Board, Milos Ostojic, inciting hatred for members of the religion of Islam, the Centre for Civic Education (CGO) expects not only his dismissal but appropriate actions of both police and prosecutor’s office.
“The CGO’s recently published research points out to mixed opinions of Montenegro citizens over the existence of discrimination based on religion – 48.4% of them believe that discrimination exists, while 51.6% of them think it doesn’t,” the CGO says.
They also warn that the young are those who mostly deny it, as well as respondents with secondary education, those who declare themselves as Serbs and respondents from north Montenegro, while respondents aged 55-64, those possessing university degree, Muslims and residents of south Montenegro claim it exists.
