Božović: Embassies don’t want to form a new govt

Citizens of Montenegro showed what kind of a parliament and government they wanted and only they themselves and their political representatives have had the right to form it and elect it, Serbia’s Ambassador to Montenegro, Mr Vladimir Božović, stated. In an interview for Dan daily, he noted that a new government wouldn’t and shouldn’t be elected by any embassy.

“No foreign embassy in Montenegro has that right and as I know and highly appreciate the respected diplomatic core and my dear colleagues – ambassadors – they don’t have the ambition to do it. I have a rhetorical question for those who don’t understand it and present it differently: why shouldn’t the embassy of Serbia, run by myself, have that right having in mind that the Republic of Serbia is the largest regional country in the WB and that 30% of Montenegro citizens declare as Serbs,” Mr Božović underlined.

If only that could happen, his colleagues – ambassadors of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania also wouldn’t wish to renounce their rights in accordance with the percentage of their compatriots living in Montenegro.
