The government has approved the draft budget for the next year. The budget that will reach slightly over €2bn is based on outstanding financial and economic results achieved this year.
The government also proposed macro-economic and fiscal indicators, 2017-2020, projecting a 4% real economic growth this year and 3% next year.

The government’s PR department announced that the minsters at the cabinet meeting assessed that the government faced a very unfavourable situation at the beginning of its term of office. However, despite numerous challenges, it showed the ability and determination to implement its commitments and goals.

The government also stated that the draft budget for next year was based on realistic projections and that it ensured further development of the economy, the continuation of capital projects and social security, as well as further stabilisation of public finances, which should result in a shift from the deficit in the area of the budget surplus as of 2020.
