Budget for 2019 aimed at development

The budget for 2019 will approximately amount 2,4 billion EUR and it was prepared as development budget, aimed at the reinforcement of infrastructure and improvement and more efficient financial public service, said Bojan Paunović, acting director of the Directorate for Budget, within the Ministry of Finance.

Increased capital budget will amount over 300 million EUR next year. Important investments will be aimed at the construction of the priority section of the motorway, as well as at the other transport, tourism, education and other infrastructure, with the north of the country being in the focus of attention.

“Montenegro must keep being the construction  site, with the aim of further increase of competitiveness and economic growth”, said Paunović .

He pointed out that significant part of the funds will be provided for the fields pf agriculture, education and healthcare services.

“Indebtedness in the next year will be in the function of development, i.e. for the needs of capital investments, repayment and re-financing of the existing debt”, says Paunović.

The Government will soon adopt the Decree on the organization  of state administration so that all the possible changes in the organization of the work can be reflected in the budget for the next year and so that the conditions for its implementation can be created.
