Budva-Dubrovnik shipping route as of 29 June

Starting this summer, the Port of Budva will be connected to Dubrovnik, and Montenegro will benefit greatly from it, PM Milojko Spajic has announced today at a press conference. Transport Minister Filip Radulovic said that the Port of Budva-Dubrovnik shipping route would start on 29 Jun and that it would operate twice a day. Although the prices have not been determined yet, the one-way ticket is expected to cost €55, while the return ticket is expected to be €69.

Spajic has emphasizes that this is a contribution to connecting Montenegro with the EU.

Radulovic has announced that he is proud because today his promise to the citizens is being fulfilled.

When asked by a journalist if this was a misuse of state resources before the local elections in Budva, Spajic said that he had not heard anywhere in the world that the results were a misuse of state resources.

Radulovic pointed out that this was announced two weeks ago and that there was talk about this project in January.

The executive director of the Compass company, Bojan Aljinovic, has stated that the route is planned to be active until the end of September, and that the transport will be carried out by a ship with a capacity of 242 passengers.

Spajic has announced that another shipping route Bar-Ancona is planned to start on 3 July, where transportation will be carried out by a ship that will also transport buses, trucks, passengers, etc.
