The bus station in Herceg Novi has been sold for €370,000 euros to a private-owned company, Dnevne Novine learns.
Chairman of the Vektra Boka Board of Directors, which was the owner of the bus station, Milic Popovic did not want to specify which company the facility was sold.
“The bus station has been sold through a public tender to the second-ranked bidder. The procedure was carried out in accordance with the Vektra Boke reorganisation plan,” said Popovic, adding that there were only two bids.
As he explained, one of the bidders gave up the purchase.
Herceg Novi mayor Stevan Katic told DN that the local self-government wanted to buy a bus station, and that it had planned to submit a bid, but that it gave up the idea due to property disputes.
“Regardless of sale, the local government will work on constructing a new bus station in line with appropriate standards,” said Katic.
Asked if other facilities owned by Vektra Boka have been sold, Popovic said that businessman Rajko Celebic had bought a 68 square metres office space in the city centre. He added that the media had recently published a third advertisement for the sale of the remaining property.
The bankruptcy in Vektra Boka was introduced in June 2015. The Commercial Court accepted the Plan of Enterprise Reorganisation at the end of February this year.
