The capital of Podgorica is going to have to pay a total of 3,063,180 euros to the Aluminum Plant (KAP) in bankruptcy, due to the expropriation of land near Gintas commercial centre, the Commercial Court ruled.
The dispute was initiated for several cadastral plots with a total area of 5,374 square meters, co-owned by KAP, and on which the capital city built, among other things, streets, parking lots and green areas, which is why the bankruptcy administration of the factory sued the Ministry of Finance and the Municipality of Podgorica.
The verdict by judge Borjanka Zogovic made on Tuesday rejected the bankruptcy administration’s request that the Ministry of Finance, as the first accused, be jointly liable and pay the City of Podgorica 3,063,180 euros in compensation.
The Capital city is obliged to pay KAP an additional 28,368 euros for the costs of the proceedings, while the bankruptcy administration of the factory is obliged, on the same basis, to pay EUR 12,250 to the Ministry of Finance.
