Minister of Justice Andrej Milovic has approved the arrest of Russian citizen A.M, who is in Montenegro, for illegal interference in the electoral process in the USA and illegal financing in the USA, CdM learns.
This followed after the USA sent a request to Montenegro for the “temporary detention” of A.M.
The arrest warrant was issued by the New York District Court.
A jury in Arizona has indicted 18 people on suspicion of meddling in the 2020 presidential election. Among them are members of former US President Donald Trump’s team, Reuters reported at the end of April, citing the opinion of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona and the state attorney general Chris Mays.
They are accused of illegally soliciting Arizona’s 2020 electoral votes, the release said. According to the prosecution, during the voting they tried to create lists of false electors for Trump.
