Available records show that the goal is not being realized as planned, and that the decrease in number of employees has happened only in a few sectors, while in total public administration there has been an increase of 1.705 employees, out of which 1.270 is in local administrations, it was announced from the Ministry of internal affairs.
From Ministry reminded us that the plan of reorganization of public sector is directed towards two goals: besides the decrease of number of employees an increase in efficiency is necessary in order that the smaller number of employees can provide services for the same number of clients, it was reported by Pobjeda.
„Almost all municipalities have bigger number of employees than the European standard recommends, and that is four employees per thousand citizens. Some are particularly far from this standard, like municpality of Budva”, it was emphasized from the ministry.
Based on the inspections and audits that were conducted this year it was found that municipality Berane has 283, municiaplity Bar 24, municipality Budva 333, municipality Ulcinj 21, municipality Tivat 80, municipality Savnik 41, municipality Pljevlja 275, municipality Kolasin 133, municipality Plav 103, municipality Andijevica 41 and municipality Podgorica 568 employees in local public administration.
