Out of 79 MPs, 41 voted in favour of the Annex to the Agreement on the lease of Sveti Stefan, whereas 26 MPs were against, with 12 abstentions.
By the Annex to the agreement on Sveti Stefan and Milocer, the rent to the company Adriatic Properties, owned by Petros Stathis, would be 30% reduced and the lease period would be extended from 30 to 42 years.
The Annex to the agreement on Queen’s Beach hotel did not receive the required majority, since 38 of 78 MPs voted in favour, 25 against and 15 abstentions. MPs of the SDP were among the abstentions.
According to the Annex to the agreement on Queen’s Beach, lease period would be extended from 30 to 90 years.
MPs did not adopt proposal for giving the island of Lastavica with fortress of Mamula in Herceg Novi into a long-term lease.
Out of the 80 MPs voting for the proposal, 39 were in favour, 34 against, and seven abstained, including four MPs for the SDP, except the one who was against.
The Government signed the agreement on the lease of Mamula with the Swiss company Orascom.
The agreement on the 49 year lease of the island Lastavica with the fortress Mamula involves €15 million investment in the renovation and conversion of the site into a unique eco-sustainable tourism destination of the four plus or five stars.
According to the investor’s plans, after the reconstruction, there would be a museum and a 23 room boutique hotel with a small spa centre, two small beaches, a dock, two swimming pools and a water sports club at the locality.
