Podgorica city authorities and the local company Water and Sewerage could begin construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Botun as early as next week, pending approval from the Ministry of Planning, Urbanism, and State Property on a construction application submitted two days ago, according to Water and Sewerage director Aleksandar Nisavic.
Commenting on local opposition, Nisavic said the city and the company respect citizens’ right to express their views, but emphasised that all activities must comply with the law, and public protests cannot block the project’s implementation on the designated urban plot.
