Corona alarm: Montenegro on list of countries with Don’t travel warning

The epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus in Montenegro isn’t improving. The situation is alarming. The number of new cases isn’t decreasing and the growth in the number of deaths is worrying.

The system has been in the “red zone” for a pretty while.

Montenegro currently has only 2,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine, which isn’t enough to really talk about immunization. A larger number of vaccines is expected to arrive. However, the Ministry of Health doesn’t specify the date of arrival.

On 16 February 2021, the State Department issued a level 4 – Don’t travel warning for US Citizens, relating to Montenegro, due to the Covid-19 epidemiological situation, all based on the notification from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In this way, Montenegro, together with Indonesia, the Central African Republic, Afghanistan, Iraq, Algeria, Bolivia, Botswana, Burma (Myanmar) and the Turks and Caicos Islands, “got” the highest level of warning due to the life-threatening risks.
