Covid in Montenegro: Five more died, 300 new cases recorded

A further five people have died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, announced the Public Health Institute. The patients counted in today’s death toll were from Podgorica, Bijelo Polje and Kolašin. In addition, 300 new cases were recorded, while 250 patients beat the virus. There are currently 6.502 active cases.

“Labs of the Public Health Institute have pulled 741 samples for PCR diagnosis in the last 24 hours and registered a total of 300 new coronavirus cases,” the Institute stated.

New cases are detected in the following municipalities:

Kotor 15
Berane 15
Tivat 11
Rožaje 9
Pljevlja 5
Andrijevica 3
Bar 2
Mojkovac 1
Kolašin 1

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths from the beginning of June stands at 324, i.e. 333 since the outbreak started in March.
