Montenegro will host the 4th Global Citizen Forum in October. The Forum gathers world leaders, royalty, philanthropists and celebrities.
It will take place in Sveti Stefan, on 19 and 20 October, under the patronage of the Prime Minister Dusko Markovic. Among the confirmed attendees of the forum are the famous actor Robert de Niro, famous writer and motivational speaker Robin Sharma and former British prime minister Tony Blair’s wife, women rights activist and attorney Cherie Blair. Shakira Mebarak, Colombian singer/songwriter and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador is among unconfirmed attendees.
In addition to them, former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, former European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Hon. Gaston A. Browne, Grammy Award-winning musician Wyclef Jean, retired US general Wesley Clark confirmed their attendance at the forum.

The Global Citizens Forum, founded by Armand Arton, has been created to focus on global challenges and opportunities related to migration and the global citizenship concept from the perspective of individuals and governments.
The forum offers an exclusive opportunity to meet and share ideas with global leaders, philanthropists, visionaries in industry and celebrities. Within two days, participants will learn about the global challenges and maintain relations that can lead to answers.
The topic of this year’s forum is Opportunities in the Age of Uncertainty.
As explained by Arton, founder of the Forum, the participants will discuss the initiatives, practical steps and great decisions necessary in the period of uncertainty.
“The world is in an unprecedented political and economic uncertainty. Technology, new ways of communicating and changing expectations transform people’s lives. Societies and communities are organized independently and communicate with each other in completely new ways. Traditional policies and old alliances are seriously undermined. Personal identities are more fluid than ever before,” he said.
Previous forums were held in Dubai, Toronto and Monaco with great success.
