American citizen and executive manager of the Patriot Defence Group (PDG), Brian Scott, was supposed to give a video link testimony at the state coup trial on 6 December. Democratic Front (DF) addressed Scott’s company for protection and help during the evacuation of people if the alliance’s plan for a violent takeover of power in Montenegro failed.

However, due to delays and obstruction of the court procedures, Scott’s testimony will most probably be postponed. Cooperative witness Sasa Sindjelic’s testimony still isn’t over. Nevertheless, Montenegrin public will soon have the chance to hear Scott’s testimony and find out what exactly DF requested from the American company specialised in providing security services.
According to the US Ministry of Justice report on Scott’s hearing, the PDG was asked to “provide protection” to DF and help it in evacuating people from Montenegro after 16 October 2016, which the company rejected.
