During yesterday’s meeting with Prime Minister, Zdravko Krivokapic, representatives of the Democratic Front, DF, disapproved of the first version of a joint statement offered by the PM, as it didn’t mention government reconstruction and dismissals of the Internal Affairs Minister, Sergej Sekulovic, and Head of the National Police, Zoran Brdjanin, Pobjeda daily has learned.
Mr Krivokapic held a meeting yesterday with representatives of the parliamentary majority after which a joint statement was issued, saying that “a unified position on the necessity of calming the current political situation with respect for the Constitution and laws of Montenegro”.
“The meeting sent a message that no one is stronger than the state and that the provisions of the legal system must apply to everyone without exception. Whoever is not ready to persevere on that path is not even worthy of the trust given to us by the citizens on 30 August 2020,” the final version of the statement says.
A source close to Pobjeda daily says that representatives of the DF also initiated talks over Dritan Abazovic’s role as a coordinator for the security sector
Yestreday’s meeting, which lasted around two and a half hours, apart from Slaven Radunovic of the DF, was attended by: Momo Koprivica of Democratic Montenegro, Milos Konatar of URA, Branko Radulovic of the Movement for Changes (PzP), Dragan Ivanovic of the Socialist People’s Party (SNP), Maksim Vucinic of the Workers’ Party, Goran Danilovic of United Montenegro and Srdjan Pavicevic from CIVIS.
