DF: Europe Now to voice opinion on amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government

Demokratski front

The Democratic Front (DF) has called on the Europe Now Movement to voice their opinion on the proposed amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government, stipulating the introduction of forced management until the final election results are declared.

The DF also notes that the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption reacted over the amendments, adding that it previously stayed silent when local elections were delayed in defiance of the Constitution and when the Zeta Municipality was set up.

“Of course, the DF will, as always, do everything to overthrow the DPS which lost in the elections, so that the Vukovic’s, Djukanovic’s and other usurpers leave their positions as soon as possible, in a less painful and more efficient way. But we’re also interested in the position of our likely coalition partners over the legal and political mechanisms to be used.”

Representatives of the DF also emphasize that politics is a demanding business, has it internal logic as well as clear principles which they need to stick to.

“Having in mind that the Europe Now Movement was against the Law on the President of Montenegro, even though they didn’t tell their arguments, we’re very interested in the justification of their view on the proposed amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government before its adoption in parliament. We particularly want to know why they think these amendments are not unconstitutional, whereas the amendments to the Predisent Law, according to them, are unconstitutional, and why they think that this time MPs should vote for the proposed amendments?! The DF knows the reasons, but needs additional explanation from the EN Movement”.

They also underline that political partnerships mean joint actions and alliance.
