DF to cease the boycott, return to the parliament?

Democratic Front DF is seriously considering suggesting to the rest of the opposition a return to the parliament in October, Pobjeda daily learns. DF stated that during the last session of their board of presidents, it was agreed that “the boycott did not produce expected results, since the key goal of scheduling irregular parliamentary elections was not accomplished”.

“Boycott is not a solution, it seems. The opposition lacks international support and so we must reconsider other options”, DF stated to Pobjeda daily.

The opposition has been boycotting since October. SDP re-entered the parliament to vote on NATO accession. DF MPs returned to follow the proceedings related to immunity revocation of some of their members.

Pobjeda daily sources point to the fact that almost all of the opposition, except Democrats, agrees that the boycott has not been a successful tool to accomplish their goals.

“Irregular elections are only ever mentioned now by DF”, Pobjeda daily source said.

“By taking part in elections in Herceg Novi and preparing for those in Mojkovac, Cetinje and Tuzi, opposition admits to have given up on the idea of new parliamentary elections”, the source concluded.
