Dinosa’s cousin appointed minister-counsellor

The Government of Montenegro has appointed Hamdija Hasani, the official of the Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA), as the minister-counsellor at the Embassy in Germany, writes Dan.

This appointment opened the issue of nepotism in Montenegrin diplomacy, bearing in mind that Hamdija Hasani is a close relative of the current ambassador of Montenegro to Kosovo, Ferhat Dinosa.

Interestingly, in mid-2012, Hasani succeeded Dinosa as minister of human and minority rights. He was nominated by the then prime minister and DPS official Igor Luksic. Also, Hasani used to be the head of the Directorate for North, Central and South America at the former Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
