Mr Djukanovic and Mr Chakrabarti expressed their satisfaction with the successful cooperation between Montenegro and the EBRD, which is based on trust and common goals.
Mr Djukanovic emphasised importance of the EBRD’s support to Montenegro and the region, and its overall development, referring to the role of the Berlin process, which represents a major step forward in relations between the European Union and the countries of the region.
“The Berlin process represents an important impulse for finding a formula for the countries of the region and the region as a whole,” the Prime Minister said, stressing the importance of sending a strong message on continuing support for regional networking and development from the Vienna summit.
The EBRD President commented on the successful cooperation between Montenegro and the European Bank, adding that it could be an example for promoting economic development of both Montenegro and the region as a whole.
“We support you to keep the leadership in reforms, because it is a good incentive for the region too,” Mr Chakrabarti said.
The two officials also discussed the importance of attracting investors to the region as a driving force for further economic and overall development.
The EBRD President invited PM Djukanovic to be a participant in the Investment Summit in London early next year, which is aimed at further stimulating cooperation and economic development.
