Podgorica residents Vanja and Savo Djurisic have been released pending trial, Vanja’s wife Danijela Djurisic confirmed to CdM.
“Of course they have been released, there is no basis for their detention,” she told the portal.
They were arrested on Monday night upon Telekom’s criminal complaint over the destroying and damaging public equipment.
They were remanded in 72 hour prison.
The Djurisic family has been protesting for more than half a year, claiming that the municipality illegally seized its land. This family first protested in front of the City Council building, after which, their protest continued in the Jerevanska street in the Zabjelo neighbourhood.
On several occasions Vanja Djurisic has cat Crnogorski Telekom’s cable which he claims to be on his property for months. A court case over Djurisic’s dispute with the City of Podgorica has been launched.
