In the year that is coming to an end, according to numerous indicators, the Montenegrin economy has recorded excellent results, the Minister of Economic Development and Tourism Goran Djurovic says.
He adds that the total export of goods in the January – October period amounted to €576.6m, which is almost 70% more than last year’s export for the same period.
Also, he adds, according to the preliminary data from the MONSTAT Statistical Office, Montenegro’s GDP grew by 3.2% in Q3.
“It amounted to €1.82bn, while in the same period last year it was €1.59bn. The real growth rate in the European Union is 2.4$”, Djurovic has recalled.
When it comes to tourism, according to the latest data from MONSTAT, there were 1,078,787 tourists (59.2% more compared to the same period in 2021) and 4,106,253 overnight stays (46% more compared to the same period in 2021).
According to data from the Central Bank of Montenegro, inclusive of Q3 of 2022, revenues generated from foreign tourists reached €916m, which is at a level of 90% fulfillment compared to the same period in 2019.
