Namely, Special prosecution found this unbeliavable case within the cases of out of court settlements in last ten years. As Dnevne novine unofficially found out from Special prosecution, the case was assigned to special prosecutor Lidija Vukcevic, and based on the official information the investigation is currently ongoing.
Under Vukcevic’s warrant, inspectors of the Office for fight against organized criminal and corruption obtained all documentation regarding the purchase and construction of this luxury complex. Under vague circumstances, on 27th of April in 2006 Kuljaca, based on a for now unknown “settlement deal” with now late businessman D.B., gave away around 6.000 meters squared of public land above Sveti Stefan, whose value was at the time around 600.000 euros.
Of course, as it was suspected this was done illegally and without any authorization or knowledge of the city’s parliament, without any public tender or competition. Everything was done in secrecy. Only a year later, in 2007, Kuljaca saw that there will be problems in hiding this case and then allegedly he himself tried to break the aforementioned settlement made with D.B.
In this highely suspicious case the main and only responsible person seems to be Rajko Kuljaca, who is the only suspect for now. If the investigation results in criminal charges against Kuljaca, it remains unknown whether they will be pressed against him because he got a status of cooperation witness in previous two cases, because this would completely destroy his auhority as a cooperating witness, if he would be offically charged for this.
