DPS and SD MPs gave up on parliament salaries but kept ministerial ones

MPs of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the Social Democrats (SD), who are also ministers in the technical government, will be receiving the ministerial salaries until the formation of a new government, as they were not interested in the parliament salaries, reported Pobjeda daily.

On 23 September, the Parliament of Montenegro verified the mandates of MPs, and except for PM Duško Marković, the list of MPs from the current government includes: Mr Milutin Simović, Mr Mevludin Nuhodžić, Mr Predrag Bošković, Ms Dragica Sekulić, Mr Nikola Janović, Ms Suzana Pribilović and Mr Damir Šehović.

The Parliament of Montenegro told Pobjeda daily that the MPs of the 27th convocation who will be performing ministerial functions until the formation of a new government required neither to perform the parliamentary function professionally nor the payment of the difference in salaries in case they were to perform the parliamentary function.

Therefore, they won’t receive their October salaries, the Parliament noted.

The Ministry of Finance, on the other hand, stated that the ministers of the technical government will receive their ministerial salaries regularly until the formation of a new one.
