Due to his official visit to Germany, Spajic not to attend PMQs

Milojko Spajić

Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajic will not attend the PMQs on 30 April 2024, due to his official visit to Germany, announced at the beginning of March, the Government has stated today, while this was published yesterday by the CdM portal.

The Government responded to today’s claims by the URA representative, Milos Konatar, who stated that it was clear that Spajic would not come to Parliament to avoid a duel with Dritan Abazovic.

“In the responsible and committed leadership of the state, priorities are known, and the well-being of all citizens of Montenegro is far ahead of the wishes of individual MPs for self-promotion and putting state interests before them. Egomania and self-importance, which lead to circuses and wasting precious time for essential things, must remain where they belong, at the bottom of the scale of interests”, the Government’s announcement reads.

During his visit to Germany, Spajic will meet Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This is of particular importance in the context of EU integration and obtaining IBAR.

“Germany is one of the key allies on the EU path, so the Prime Minister will also talk to representatives of the Bundestag, the German economy and hold numerous other meetings, which will strengthen the excellent relations between the two countries”, the Government has stated.
