In response to the devastating wildfires that recently swept across Montenegro, real estate company Eagle Hills Montenegro, led by investor Mohamed Alabbar, has donated €215,000 to support firefighting services and environmental restoration. The donation was distributed to fire units in Podgorica, Ulcinj, Kolašin, and Žabljak, as well as to the Podgorica-based environmental NGO Udruženje Gorana (Association of Foresters of Podgorica).
The funds will be used to purchase vital firefighting equipment and support reforestation efforts in and around the capital. Representatives from each fire unit expressed gratitude for the significant support, noting that the donation comes at a critical time as they recover from intense firefighting efforts and prepare for future emergencies.
The NGO will use its share of the donation to acquire saplings and tools for tree planting and urban greening projects. The gesture, praised by local officials including Podgorica’s mayor Saša Mujović, was seen as a powerful example of corporate social responsibility and international solidarity in times of crisis.
