Employers don’t give job to the blind people

The Law on Professional Rehabilitation brings numerous benefits for the employers who provide job for the persons with disabilities. According to the president of the Organization for the blind persons in Bar and Ulcinj, Veselin Joketić, blind persons should be given the job by employers who perform  economy activities, as well as by local and state institutions.

Joketić points out that our Law on Rehabilitation and Employment of People with Disabilities is one of the best in the region.

“Unfortunately, employers often pay specific amount of money as penalty points, they don’t actually employ these people. That’s wrong. Everybody should be given a chance, there shouldn’t be any prejudices whether these people can meet the conditions to do specific job”, says Joketić.

He also points out that in last years, Organization for the blind persons in Bar and Ulcinj employed a great number of persons, thanks to the projects in the Employment Agency of Montenegro.
