The Union of Employers of Montenegro (UPCG) is pleased that the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to reduce fiscal burdens on earnings are in accordance with the requirements and long-standing commitments of the UPCG.
During the visit of the IMF Mission to Montenegro led by its head Martin Petri, UPCG representatives presented the current circumstances in the economy, the steps taken in the part of strengthening the Montenegrin economy and the problems entrepreneurs face.
They agreed that implementation of further structural reforms must be continued, and that it is necessary to work on eliminating the business barrier in order to make Montenegro more competitive on the EU market.
Representatives of UPCG presented its initiatives to introduce a tax-free part of income in order to reduce the tax burden on labour.
In addition to this meeting, UPCG representatives also met another IMF delegation and discussed the tax system and the labour market situation.
