Employment Agency allocated €2m to support employing people with disabilities

As the Agency announced, all participants of the public invitation received the grant.

According to head of the Fund for Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities Slavica Radusinovic there were no objections against the commission’s decision and everybody is satisfied, as confirmed by written consent.

She added that they would get the first tranche of one million euros immediately.

“Within the partnership among private, public and civil sectors, activities of 311 persons with disabilities will be implemented through the programme and 204 of them, or 65% will be employed for 3-12 months period, thus fully achieving the objectives the invitation,” said Radusinovic.

The director of the agency, Vukica Jelic pointed out that it was the first public agency which established internal procedure manual.

“The Law on Public Internal Financial Control System and the Rulebook on the manner and procedure for establishing and implementing Financial Management and Control defined the obligation of the Employment Agency to establish a system of financial management and control that enables the agency to perform its functions in an economical, efficient and effective manner,” it was said.

In addition, the system also contributes to the harmonisation of the services the agency provides to its customers, on the one hand, and the taxpayers’ money by which these functions are financed, on the other hand.

The manual includes 68 adopted procedures, with a tendency to spread to the regional units.

“The procedure manual was prepared by the team of the Employment Agency headed by FMS manager David Percobic, assistant director of the agency. The Steering Committee of the agency decided to allocate €50,000 for self-employment. This money will be used for opening of ten new jobs in municipalities in the north of the country,” the agency stated.

DOO NewConsulting has been selected the contractor for the programme “Providing specialised training and education in business skills to borrowers of the loans of Employment Agency of Montenegro”.
