The fact that during today’s meeting between Montenegro’s Parliament Speaker Andriaja Mandic and the EU Ambassador to Montenegro Oana Cristina Popa, in addition to the flags of Montenegro and the EU, the tricolor flag was also displayed, caused a stormy reaction from the public. The EU Delegation to Montenegro told CdM that the host cabinet was entirely in charge of the protocol.
The EU Delegation informed CdM that the EU Ambassador to Montenegro Oana Cristina Popa had a working meeting with Mandic, after having attended the meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration earlier today.
“The Parliament Speaker’s Cabinet, as the host of the meeting, was fully in charge of the meeting protocol”, the EU Delegation told CdM in response to the question of whether Ambassador Popa was aware of the fact that Mandic violated the Constitution and laws of with this move.
