FDI inflow drops by 38.09%

The total inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) at the end of January amounted to €43.79m, while at the same time the outflow was €32.25m, preliminary data from the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) show.

The net inflow of FDI in January amounted to €11.54m, which is 77.09% less compared to the same period last year, according to the CBCG Bulletin.

The total FDI inflow fell by 38.09% compared to the comparative period, which is the result of a drop in proprietary investments and investments based on intercompany debt.

The outflow was €2.23m, based on investments by residents abroad, while withdrawals of funds invested in Montenegro by non-residents amounted to €30.02m.
